Dale

To understand God’s amazing grace in the life of Dale Golden, one momentary look is all that is required. Beginning with a prophetic word in 1995, God has used him mightily as evidence of His glory and power. Answering God’s call, Dale began to sing and testify about the touch of God on his life. Over the years, literally thousands of people have witnessed Dale’s commitment in serving God via radio, video and live services.

Dale currently is a monthly writer for Christian Music Perspective (CMP) Magazine, SGN Scoops Magazine, SoGospelnews.com, SGMRadio.com, and is a contributing writer for Chuck Peters Show Prep and Paul Heil's Gospel Greats Radio Program email newsletter. His humor-filled “Dale’s Goldens” and "Dale's Top Ten" articles delight readers nationwide. An ordained minister, Dale also uses his practice as a Registered Nurse to touch those with physical and emotional needs in a Spiritual way.

In June of 2000, Dale was stricken with a Pancreatic Cancer. This marked a turning point in his life and service to the Lord. In spite of complications from surgery, which required hospitalization or treatment for close to 140 days, and the fact that the five year survival rate for Pancreatic Cancer is less than 2%, Dale is cancer free and in great health! No chemotherapy or radiation has ever been needed! Dale is proof that God can and does work miracles even today! Dale's moving testimony of his relationship with God during this time has inspired untold numbers of listeners through the years.

After the trial of his illness, Dale also began to share his testimony in the form of writing music. God’s blessing has resulted in over 140 songs being written in four years. a BMI Registered song writer, Dale finds great solace in writing. "There is something special about sharing my thoughts on life, struggle and victory in God with others," he states.

In September of 2006, Dale was once again forced to hear the words so many dread..."you have cancer." This time, the diagnosis was Malignant Melanoma, the most aggressive form of skin cancer. The surgery Dale underwent for treatment of this diagnosis was a complete success, and today, although he must still go for routine check-ups to assess for any new outbreaks, he is 100% clear of Cancer.

Dale states, "the way I look at this is I have now survived, by God's Grace and Mercy, two types of Cancer. Even if another new Cancer diagnosis takes my life in the future, it can only 'win' once. No one can ever say I lost the battle to Cancer! The very best Cancer can do to me is lose 2-1!!"

Dale continues, "I hope I never make the statement 'I Beat Cancer,' because I know surviving had very little to do with me. God healed me, period. I do not believe we have the ability to heal ourselves. If we did, we would all be healed everytime. I can help myself by staying positive, being determined to survive, etc., however, not everyone who has Cancer will experience physical healing. Many will die. Some of the most positive thinking, mentally strong people in the world have succumbed to this disease."

"We won't always experience physical healing. God will, however, sometimes heal our Spirit, our families, relationships, or regrets through the struggle with disease. Sometimes it is our very relationship with God that is healed during illness. It is not the end result of "conquering" the illness that makes us "winners or losers," but the journey along the way. We must never lose sight of the fact that God loves each and every one of us the same and has something special in store for us, even in illness, even in death, but we must allow Him to work in our lives!"

"While I would never wish Cancer on my worst enemy, I would not take anything in the world for the place it has brought me to. That place is closer to God than I ever experienced before my diagnosis. What better situation could I be in than being closer to Him?"

Cheryl

Cheryl’s life has been one of service to God, even as a small child. The daughter of a Baptist Minister of Music, Cheryl began playing piano at age eight. At the age of fourteen, Cheryl became her church pianist. She has continued playing piano all of her life. For the past twenty years, she has shared this gift by teaching hundreds of student’s piano and voice.

Cheryl’s early exposure to music in the church also resulted in her developing an astounding ability to hear and sing beautiful harmony, which is the foundation of the “Golden Sound” that so many people throughout the country have come to appreciate. With one of the smoothest voices ever heard in Gospel music, people have come to love Cheryl and acknowledge her ability to reach the hearts of those in need. In the early 1980’s, Cheryl gave up a very promising music career to focus on raising her family and re-establishing her commitment to Christ. The results have been astounding, with three beautiful children, a dynamic music ministry and a strong, loving relationship with God the result.

Cheryl also has a fine testimony of God’s healing power. For over a decade, she has suffered from a form of macular degeneration, which has left her legally blind in one eye. Her disease has been dormant for almost as long, however. She has not allowed this to slow her down in her service to God. Her testimony of this blessing has been warmly received in ladies retreats, luncheons and services throughout the country.

Dale and Cheryl Golden have produced seven albums, "I Just Want To Please The Lord," "Stand By Me," "Praying People," "The Glory To Come," and "Glory Coming Down," "Hymns Of Gold - I," and "Summer In My Soul."
